Reaching A Writing Goal

Question: Have you made any progress towards one of your writing goals?

My writing goal at the beginning of the year was to have better word choice in my writing,  Throughout this last week or two of writing I have wrote about things that I have found more challenging to write about compared to what I normally would.  I noticed that it was difficult for me when I began writing my last writing prompt.  The one about New York City.  Although it was hard, I realized that the piece of writing brought me one step closer to achieving one of my writing goals.  I used better language that was more fluent and worked with the story I was telling.  I liked the more mature word choice I chose to put into my story, it had a better feel to it while reading it.  I also feel like it was a nice change and was more interesting since it had better or more interesting words.  "I almost couldn't contain my excitement." "It was the type of thing you really just wanted to take in every detail of.  Every night after that I would go out and look at the Freedom tower, it was just so breath taking." Those are a couple of examples of the new word choices I chose to put into my writing.

Blog Post #2

Question: Identify a problem you had in your writing lately and talk about what you will do next to try and solve it....

Within the next couple weeks I would like to talk or write about the importance of managing your time.  Lately, I have found it a little bit challenging to get everything I want done in the day finished. I find that my writing isn't as good as it could be because I tend to rush because I don't have enough time to write good quality writing.  Between sports, school, sleep and a social life, it's really important to keep up with deadlines and what not.  As I get older I realize more and more how difficult it is to keep up with everything I either want or need to accomplish.  I have found throughout the year some good time management ideas and have developed new time management skills.  I think that by writing about them it will help not only myself remember what they are but maybe help others that are struggling or have struggled with this problem as much as I have.  Also if I write about it, it might help other people realize that taking your time with your writing and that doing good quality work is important.
